    Ocean Bank Donates to CLM Foundation
    Ocean Bank has made a $2,000 donation to support The Center for Life Management Foundation. The purpose of the charitablefoundation is to raise funds which support CLM’s mission to provide programs and services that enhance the mental health and emotional well-being of the community.

    Ocean Bank is a locally managed commercial bank with 42 branches throughout New Hampshire and southern Maine including local branches in Derry, Plaistow and Hampstead. With deep roots in the local community, supporting a local organization like the Center for Life Management is a core value of Ocean’s philosophy as a company.

    Team CLM Supports NAMI Walks
    CLM’s team of 54 walkers joined the more than 400 people who came out to support the 2008 NAMI Walks event held on October 5, 2008. CLM’s Team raised a total of $2,147 and was among the top ten fund raising teams helping to support the National Alliance on Mental Illness NH.

    CLM CEO Presents at National Conference
    Vic Topo, President and CEO of the Center for Life Management, was a featured presenter at the 38th Annual Conference of the National Council for Community Behavioral Healthcare held recently in Boston, MA. Topo’s presentation, entitled “Want to Take Your Mission and Vision to New Heights? Build a New Facility”, addressed the challenges, opportunities for organizational improvement, strategies for overcoming obstacles, and practical information from financing, human resources and technology to assembling the right team for success throughout a building process.

    In July of 2007 the Center for Life Management completed construction and moved into a new facility designed specifically for the needs of the outpatient mental health organization that last year served more than 4,200 clients. A resident of Derry, Topo has served as CEO of the Center for Life Management since 1999. In addition, he currently serves on the Board of the Heritage United Way and is a member of the Board of Directors of both the Derry-Londonderry and Greater Salem Chambers of Commerce.

    Mental Health Matters Coming Soon to Community TV
    CLM is now hosting our own community television program called Mental Health Matters. The half hour program has an interview format with guests from CLM’s staff addressing a variety of mental health issues as well as providing information about our services.

    The program is being produced by CLM in conjunction with Derry Community TV and is being distributed for viewing on several area community television channels including Salem and others towns in our region.

    The first installment of Mental Health Matters will air in early April and will feature guests Maureen Malone, M.S.W., LICSW, from our Senior Services program talking about the signs of depression as well Victoria MacDonald, M.Ed., LCMHC, Senior Clinician providing information about our Emergency Services.

    According to Vic Topo, President and CEO, "This is one more way for CLM to reach out to the community with helpful information. We hope to create greater awareness about the symptoms of mental illness and available resources for care. Our goal is to educate, hopefully ease some of the stigma concerning mental health and encourage people to seek appropriate help when needed."

    Center for Life Management Featured in National Publication
    The Center for Life Management’s newly constructed facility was prominently featured in the December 2007 issue of the national Behavioral HealthCare magazine. The article accompanied with exterior and interior photos of the 10 Tsienneto Road center appeared in the Facility Design Showcase section of the national trade publication which has a circulation of 27,000. The feature can also be viewed online at www.behavioral.net.

    The past year was an exceptional one for the non-profit Center for Life Management. In 2007 the organization marked its 40th anniversary of providing service to the region, the new facility was opened in July and the organization was recognized as the 2007 Business of the Year by the Greater Derry-Londonderry Chamber of Commerce.

    As the region’s most comprehensive behavioral health provider, the Center for Life Management served more than 4,200 clients last year. CLM provides clinically progressive, evidence-based treatment approaches that include clinical and medical services, 24-hour emergency services, case management and support services for children, teens, adults, and seniors.     CLM Honored as Business of the Year by Greater Derry-Londonderry Chamber of Commerce
    The Center for Life Management was recently honored as the area Business of the Year by the Greater Derry-Londonderry Chamber of Commerce. The award was presented at the Chamber’s Annual Dinner event attended by nearly 200 area business leaders, chamber members and their guests on October 25 at Promises to Keep.
